- Worked closely with the 99+ horses at the rescue in feeding, grooming, turnout, medications, etc, and also assisted the staff there in daily chores. I also volunteered and assisted with many of the tasks of the farm in general (education, being taught how to conduct tours, teaching young kids about horses, etc). Interns, in general, were taught various new skills weekly in terms of education, how to do certain medications (oral meds, blood draws, microchipping, etc), and large animal rescue in general.
