Experienced with baking, cooking, and drink making in both bulk and smaller scales, as well as in industrial kitchens. My experience begins at the age of three when I started consistently baking and cooking with assistance from my older relatives. I took cooking classes from late elementary school until the classes shut down due to COVID-19. I was regularly cooking for my twenty person house at my previous school. Now, I frequently bake and cook in an industrial kitchen for my current boarding school, serving approximately ninety people, alongside other students, kitchen faculty, and independently. I have also volunteered at God's Love We Deliver to help with kitchen tasks such as seasoning food, packaging it with shrink-wrap machines and with plastic lids by hand, labeling, and stacking. Through this, I am well-versed in food safety and handling and am certified in the state of Utah. While I do not have a New York food handler's permit, I would be more than happy to learn.
I thrive in teamwork and communication-centered environments, with my peers, figures of authority, or others. I'm committed to challenging myself with new learning and growth opportunities. Being able to reach out and support others—whether something big or just a small gesture to brighten their day—is something I value deeply.
