Signature Achievements:

  • Designed, organized and facilitated a Community Action Board in Salt Lake County from 2005 through 2007. I worked with the director and supervisor of AP&P, Utah Dept. of Corrections, Police Chief of South Salt Lake Police Department, County and District Judges at Mathewson Court House in Salt Lake CIty, and local business owners in South Salt Lake City, Utah to obtain permission, organize and invite above individuals to meet with minimal risk offenders, who had violated their Probation, at the South Salt Lake Police Department Conference Room once a month to outline suitable punishment for these offenders. I would then outline CAB recommendations with a report to the Courts to obtain Judicial confirmation on our recommendations. This allowed these offenders to move quickly through the Judicial process, rather than be in custody and wait for a Court Hearing to address their infractions. This assisted the Courts by relieving some of their workload, allowed the offenders to move quickly through the Judicial process, and gave the offenders the opportunity to conintue to work towards fulfilling their probation obligations.
  • As an Officer for Colorado Judicial, I managed the domestic violence caseload. The recividism rates for domestic violence were in excess of 50%. Colorado Judicial had began Moral Recognation Training for domestic violence offenders. I approached the County and District Judges for the 14th Judicial District of Colorado, the Chief of Probation and my supervisor and discussed what was occurring with the domestic violence offenders. I obtained permission from Colorado Judicial and the Courts to have the Courts implement this training requirement as one of the conditions of Probation. I then received the appropriate training to facilitate MRT training with domestic violence offenders. This ultimately reduced the domestic violence recidivism rates by over 30%.
  • Desereet Industries mission is to help create a people development environment and culture that facilitates self-reliance through helping individuals obtain the necessary behaviors to obtain work in the community and be successful providers for themselves and their families. I help prepare associates by meeting with them weekly to address and teach proper work behaviors of being dependable, productive, professional, teachable and team players, so they may obtain worthy employment in the community. I have reached a placement goal for my associates, who have obtained employment within the community, of over 70%.
