Verna Caughel

I'm an accomplished Special Education ParaEducator from Genesee Intermediate School District offering more than 20 years of experience in a variety of classrooms varying in ages and abilities. I am passionate about education and enjoy working with all students at their level to achieve their personal best. In the classroom I promote individualized learning techniques, presenting the same concept in many different ways to increase the student's success in capturing that skill. My experience also includes excelling in special education knowledge and emotional support. I have demonstrated success in enhancing student learning through individualized support and creating supportive and adaptive learning environments tailored to each individual student to achieve positive outcomes. I'm skilled in nonviolent crisis intervention, PBIS, data collection, contributing to classroom management improvements and student progress.

I'm prepared to contribute effectively to any education team. I am known for fostering collaborative relationships with staff and ensuring consistent, positive outcomes for students. Expertise includes individualized instruction and behavior intervention.
