As a dedicated filmmaker based between Puerto Rico and NYC, I serve as the Director, Writer, and Producer for an array of films. With a unique perspective rooted in the vibrant diasporic connection between these two worlds, I craft narratives that explore themes of displacement, cultural identity, and the ever-evolving concept of 'home.' This multifaceted role reflects a commitment to bringing diverse stories to life through a blend of visual storytelling and thoughtful production management.

• Nostrom, Office Production Assistant (2019) Assisted the production coordinator, UPM, and Line Producer by prepping paperwork, contacting local businesses, and conducting both office and set runs.
• Estudio 2019, Office Production Assistant (2019) Provided support during the pre-production period by handling confidential paperwork, placing large lunch orders, and helping catering selections.
• Estudio 2019, Set Production Assistant (2020) Contributed at an indie film production company in Puerto Rico by acting as a walkie PA, first team PA, and other general set PA duties.
• Estudio 2019, Set Production Assistant (2021-2023) Assisted in both pre-production development and post-production at an indie film production company in Puerto Rico by aiding wardrobe fittings for cast, taking minutes during production meetings, and fire watching.

Grants and Awards:

• CESJ Mini Grant for Civic Engagement, Social Justice, Activism (2023): Awarded for the post-production phase of the film Rare, focusing on civic engagement, social justice, and activism. This grant supports the post-production phase of this film.
• Independent Research & Creative Project Grant (2023): Received competitive funding for students with financial need and academic merit to advance curricular, co-curricular, and independent research and creative projects. Applied to support the development of my thesis film exploring Brujeria and Espiritismo in Puerto Rico.
• Capstone Grant (2023): Granted to support the completion of my thesis film, a comprehensive exploration of Brujeria and Espiritismo in Puerto Rico, titled Sana Sana Baibrama. This grant aids in the culmination of a significant project contributing to the understanding of cultural practices.




Art Exhibition:

• La Lineal (2024): My film Sentirse y Desaparecer was selected to participate in the art exhibition titled "Expresiones Convergentes" located in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico.




Screenings:

• DCTV (2023): My experimental film Sentirse y Desaparecer was selected to screen at the the Downtown Community Television Center, a community media center located in Lower Manhattan.
• Millenium Film Workshop (2023): Sentirse y Desaparecer screened at Millennium Film Workshop, a non-profit media arts center located in Brooklyn, New York.
• Cine Más Corto (2024): Sentirse y Desaparecer screened at Cine Más Corto, a film festival in Caguas, Puerto Rico.
• Lang Film Festival (2024): Sentirse y Desaparecer was selected and screened at Lang Film Festival, a film festival run by The New School in Manhattan, New York.




Upcoming Presentation:




• Dean's Honor Symposium (2024): Selected to present my thesis film at the Dean's Honor Symposium, showcasing the culmination of extensive research and creative work on Sana Sana Baibrama.
