At Wenzel Associates I manufacture oscillators for the military and for NASA. My job duties include through hole, fine pitch and surface mount soldering with the use of a microscope. We use blueprints, schematics and bill of materials to build these oscillators. There is a lot of wiring, conformal coating, measuring, soldering, testing, troubleshooting, rework, inspection. quality control and mechanical assembly with numerous hand tools that go into these units. This job also requires basic computer skills.

• My job at NOV (National Oilwell Varco) consisted of the manufacturing and repair of old field tools/equipment with the use of blueprints, schematics and bill of materials. Most assemblies were produced in a cleanroom with temperature/humidity control. There was a lot of fine pitch, surface mount and through hole soldering with the use of a microscope, a lot of wiring, building of cables, measuring with different tools (rulers calipers etc) mechanical assembly with the use of numerous hand tools, inspection, quality control, use of lathes and the use of pallet jacks and overhead cranes. This job also required basic computer skills.
