Responsibilities of this position included but not limited to:

• Disperse oral, inhalation and topical medications to patients under direct supervision of a licensed nurse
• Observe patients for drug reactions and report any problems and report any problems to the nurse
• Perform tasks associated with medication administration, including patient vital signs, calculate medication dosages and stock the medication cart
• Records medication administration according to facility procedure
• Assists the nurse in providing care to clients, which includes observation and reporting of residents needs
• Recognizes and performs tasks according to the level of education and training
• Respects resident rights
• Protecst confidential client information
• Follows federal, state, and agency regulations to protect own health and that of others
• Seeks the guidance from the nurse as needed to perform tasks safely and efficiently

Certified Nurse Assistant

Responsibilities of this position included but not limited to:

• Assists residents with eating according to residents needs
• Assists the CMA with residents when the CMA needs additional assistance with residents taking prescribed medications
• Monitors vital signs of the residents assigned to me for the entire shift
• Monitors resident behavior and report changes in conditions of residents behavior to the CMA and/or the Nurse responsible for the resident
• Assists residents with mobility needs
• Assists residents with their daily activities needs such as bathing, dress, and any personal needs of the resident
• Treats the resident with in an ethical, legal and caring manner
• Follows federal, state, and agency regulations to protect own health and that of others
• Seeks guidance from the nurse as needed to perform tasks safely and efficiently
