Currently approaching 20 year long career with the American Red Cross Blood Services. In my employment here I have learned many skills that make me a valuable asset to the company where I have been utilized in different roles. I am a dependable flexible and punctual employee.
Initially when I first got hired with Arc my job title was medical assistant which included driving to the mobiles screening the donors for eligibility taking routine vital signs and finally collecting the blood units. I later went back to school and obtained an LVN license which Arc recognized as an advancement and promoted me to an LVN charge nurse. I also am utilized as a special collections nurse for those patients who come in to donate their own blood for their surgeries. Just recently I have also taken on another skill as in running the automated collections procedure to collect red cells. I have been currently employed for almost 20 years with the American Red Cross.
