Master Math Teacher

Master Math Teacher/Facilitator:

  • Weekly support of Math teachers in grades 6-8 and the Horizons program with lesson internalization/planning, differentiation, and analyzing data for multi-level, accelerated, and high-school level classrooms..
  • Lead in-house Professional Development for MTSS, data analysis, differentiation, and benchmark testing.
  • Lead teams in weekly and half-day data plannings to discuss and analyze classroom, MAP, and Benchmark data.
  • Beginning Teacher Mentor- Work with 1-2 teachers to provide feedback and support in specific areas of need identified by mentees.
  • Extended Day Tutor- Meet with students twice a week to support with Math I curriculum and 8th grade Math EOG review.

MTSS Leadership Team:

  • As the DreamBox Contact, I set up long-term Math assignments and Aimsweb or Easy CBM assessments for Tier 2 and 3 students.
  • Work with the ELA Facilitator to analyze MAP data in order to identify students in need of Tier 2/3 support and develop a plan for MTSS groupings via Branching Minds.

Instructional Leadership Team Member:

  • I attend weekly meetings to discuss and plan for support and implementation of school initiatives.
  • Participate in Walk-Throughs and calibrated walks to observe instruction and provide feedback and support to teachers.
  • Enrolled in the Charlotte GSE Relay Leadership Program to learn how to implement strategies and approaches for coaching teachers via the Get Better Faster Scope and Sequence and "See it, Name it, Do it" feedback framework.
  • As the AIG Contact, I work with the Advanced Studies department and site-based team to support identified and future-identified AIG students.
