I am passionate about education and have a strong background in literature, rhetoric, and composition. With 5 years of experience in teaching, I have honed my skills in developing innovative and engaging curricula, fostering critical thinking, and creating a positive learning environment for my students. Currently based in Sacramento, CA, I have had the opportunity to work with diverse groups of students at the community college level; my background in the humanities has helped to cultivate my interest in being more equity-minded in my teaching, and my experience working with students from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and abilities have helped me to become more adaptable in my teaching. My teaching style is student-centered, encouraging active participation and fostering a love for learning. In addition to helping teach composition and film classes, I am currently honing my business and technical writing skills to expand my professional abilities.
