• Klein Cain High School, Grades 9th - 12th Spanish Teacher, 08/2021, 06/2022, Created highly interactive lesson plans that integrated technology use for students to have a variety of choices for learning grammar, vocabulary and literature., Created and implemented units of advanced vocabulary that students needed to close learning gaps., Maintained clear documentation of students records to communicate well with parents and administration., Collaborated with coworkers to create departmental activities that enhanced and enriched the student’s learning of the language and culture., Completed more than 60 hours of professional development that included classroom management, pedagogy strategies, new technology strategies and leadership development., Integrated reading of Spanish-language novels in the classroom as a way to reinforce the student’s language acquisition., Provided group tutoring and one on one., Sponsored a Foreign Language and Culture Club. • Providence Classical School, Upper School Spanish Teacher, 08/2018, 06/2021, Created and implemented a whole new curriculum for the Spanish department for levels of Spanish I, II and III., The lessons I designed were interactive, practical and tailored to each Spanish level., Utilized a variety of instructional methods, including Montessori methods to aid in their language development., Organized cultural field trips in the Houston area to expose students to cultural presentations and museum exhibits., Arranged interactive lessons with Spanish guest speakers to provide opportunities for students to have conversations with native speakers and learn more about their culture., Delivered to the school community at large the importance of learning a second language through a variety of activities that involved visual presentations and a cultural exchange of foods and literature that represented the language and culture., Mentored students on their senior thesis.

• Texas Rural Legal Aid, Client Services, 2002, 2003, Contacted clients and took their information prior to meeting with the attorneys., Explained potential clients how their case would be handled., Informed defendants and requested them to comply with the lawyers requests.

It is an activity that provides me with a lot of joy and a great way to relieve stress.
