Job overview

My first position at this school was in first grade. It was my first year of teaching in my own self-contained classroom. 70% of my students were non English speakers.

My second position was the school Visual and Performing Arts teacher with a Multicultural emphasis. In this role I saw grades K-5. I planned and created lessons that strived to engage all students by tapping into their creative and imagination.

  • Implemented classroom management plan that reduced disruptions, creating more conducive learning environment.
  • Used the California Standards for the Arts as a guideline, however many lessons were self created.
