Under the supervision of the shift commander, responsibilities include but not limited to: provide administrative and operational support for the judges, clerks and the court system, monitoring all persons entering and exiting, provide public assistance, provide and maintain the safety, security and welfare of civilians, staff and individuals in custody, maintain a safe and secure environment, monitor individuals in custody living unit conditions for safety and cleanliness, assist with individuals in custody movement via telephone or motorola radio, document and maintain official data, inventory daily equipment, secure all areas both occupied and unoccupied, ensure all electronic and manual locks are functioning, maintain key control, conducts security inspections and always have an accurate count.
