• Restocked medication cart recorded all medication administered and managed any inventory that needed to be reported for ordering.

• Promoted and restored patients' health by managing and

planning 11-12 patients care for the duration of the shift. Patient

assessments, trach /ventilator care, ostomy care, wound care.

• Supervise and oversee operations of nursing facility and 11-12 patients while working alongside team, on third shift

• Dual Enrollment Instructor at many local high schools throughout Walker, Catoosa, and Murray counties
• Instruct NA students per Georgia state board guidelines regarding patient care techniques in long-term care facilities, home health settings, and hospitals
• Train students in classroom, lab, and clinical settings. Prepared to become confident certified nursing assistants in workforce
• Students range from high school to adults. Classes per semester ranged from 20-26 students per class. Had 3 locations with multiple classes at each location

• Took complete care and observation of patient and husband
• Worked 12 hour shifts overnight and did what was needed
• Stayed with them until both expired.

• Began working in Progressive Care Unit
• This was step down, unit of CCU
• Unit or floor was designated for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and was very busy
• Always had 5-6 patients per shift
• Essentially, during that time in nursing, nurses provided comprehensive care most all time
• Utilized nursing process to assess, plan for potential health issues and addressed patients needs, implemented plan, then continued to evaluate patients throughout day to see that goals were met
• After approximately 15 months, transferred to pre-certification office in hospital, due to health issues
• Verified insurance, collaborated with physicians, insurance representatives, patients (regarding payments and coverage) and other specialists closely to confirm eligibility and benefits
• Obtained pre-authorization by coordinating and confirming insurance coverage and payments related to prescriptions that will be used, procedures, and other medical services involved
• Understanding of CPT codes was essential, ICD-10 codes were also essential for assessing medical necessity, revenue codes were used for billing, collaborated with billing departments to ensure that correct revenue code was associated with pre-authorized service
• All these codes help track cost and facilitate accurate billing to insurance companies.
