Summary

I am entering my 10th year as a defensive coach and fourth year at the University of California, Berkeley as an Outside Linebackers Coach and third as a Special Teams Coordinator. The previous two seasons I was the Defensive Line Coach at the University of Southern California with a PAC-12 Championship appearance, five All-Pac-12 performers and one freshman All-American. Prior to USC spent four seasons at The University of Virginia, where we took a 2-10 team to an ACC Championship game, three consecutive Bowl appearances with the last being the Orange Bowl.

  • 2024 Xavier Carlton finished Cal career with 18 sacks, 121 Pressures, 124 tackles, 23 TFLs in 3 seasons
  • 2024 David Reese finished Cal career with 11 sacks, 60 pressures, 54 tackles, 15.5 TFLs in 2 seasons
  • 2023 Lachlan Wilson finish in the top 25 punt rankings with a 44.5 punt average. Week 5 Pac-12 Player of the Week with seven punts averaging 49.7 yards and three within the 10 yard line against ASU.
  • 2023 Jaydn Ott 100 yard kickoff return for a TD is third longest in Cal football history and first since 2014. Week 13 Pac-12 Special Teams Player of the Week.
  • 2022 Kickoff unit averaged 19.83 yards per opponent return and improved to 19.80 in 2023, lowest since 2016. Forced and recovered 2 fumbles to finish the season.
  • 2023 Developed, Florida transfer, David Reese into a Pac-12 Defensive Lineman of the Week recipient. Reese finished the season with 7 sacks and 3 forced fumbles in the last 3 games.
  • Responsible for 3rd down pass rush games and pressures.
  • Assisted in defensive run game coordination and gameplan.
