Early Start Manager

  • My responsibilities include working closely with the Director of the children's program to guarantee that timelines are being met as well as updating program performance.
  • I also am responsible for creating plans and developing goals aimed at reaching age appropriate developmental skills for children in the program.
  • Introduction to parents regarding the services they and their child are entitled to through the early start mandate.
  • I manage 20 plus employees with our Parent and Me program and our Early Intervention staff. Managing employees includes but is not limited to keeping track of their schedules as well as quality control on all paperwork associated with their case load as well as approving time off while arranging coverage during said time off. I also am responsible for submitting and finalizing time sheets for each employee.
  • Work closely with Service Coordinators with Central Valley Regional Center working to provide them with up to date changes with our programs along with setting up Initial meetings as well as transitional meetings.
  • I am also active in all community outreach events promoting our programs to the local community and providing a partnership with local agencies such as Kings Community Action Organization, Kings United Way, Kings County Office of Education, First 5 and the Health Department to name a few.

  • My duties included but were not limited to participation in the initial evaluation of our baby clinic.
  • I served as the point of contact for parents making sure each family was being provided appropriate services and were aware of their and their child's rights and timelines to receive each service provided.
  • I maintained long term communication with each family to ensure that they were receiving appropriate contact with their child's early interventionist and that they were receiving all the benefits our program has to offer as well as connecting them with outside resources provided in our community.

  • During my time we also had to develop a plan that allowed our clients to be served remotely during the COVID pandemic and implementing the remote services post COVID due site shutdowns. Partnered with our local communities to find alternative sites.
