Highway Maintainer - Driver-Duties include patrolling the interstates in and around the Chicagoland area and ensuring all motorists and pedestrians remain safe. I minimize disruption on all entrances and exits on the interstates so they remain free flowing and clear of accidents and debris. This includes assisting motorists with mechanical issues such as jump starting their vehicles, flat tires, relocating disabled vehicles, providing emergency gas, providing traffic control during accidents while staying in communication with the control center. I am also a Field Training Officer, consisting of training new personnel with their responsibilities and duties to safely patrol the interstates. I am able to safely operate and have experience with all ETP machinery on hand including forklifts, bobcats, front end loaders and all of the heavy wreckers including the rotators and the sand trucks.
