I enjoy learning in sports medicine because I know what it's like to be injured . I grew up playing sports and being injured was never fun nor easy . However , I have always had a passion to help out injure athletes and kids and provide them with resources and access to someone who can help them . I found a passion for giving back to kids in my community and I want to be able to show them the right and wrong ways to take care of their body and how to properly treat themselves if an injury prevents themselves .
I have been playing basketball for about 11 years now and I've been blessed enough to have had the opportunities to travel around the world and play the best of the best competition . I fell in love with the structure and community feeling that came from being in an athletic environment. Unfortunately I've struggled with 3 knee surgeries all within less than 4 years and it's taken a toll on my mind and body but I've been grateful enough to have come out on the other side of it and still being passionate about basketball. I was able to play one year of JUCO in california where I ended my journey for now but coaching kids for the past couple months has gotten me excited not only for my future but for theirs . Being able to leave a better impact on the community I came from is very important to me and I feel that I get more experience everyday with each new person I get the opportunity to work with and build a relationship with.
