  • Act as primary analyst or subject matter expert to an evolving catalog of analytical capabilities, including but not limited to XRF, XRD, XPS, FTIR, Raman, UV-Vis, ICP-OES, Karl Fischer titration, microscopy, particle analysis, and CHN elemental analysis.
  • Develop methods for the analysis of novel and routine customer samples.
  • Produce high quality documentation in the form of analytical test reports, experimental write-ups, scientific proposals, detailed procedures, and visual presentations.
  • Perform work in accordance with ISO 17025 and NAP 401.1 strict QA/QC frameworks.
  • Ensure instruments remained fully operational through standard performance verification, calibration, troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and servicing.
  • Provide input on the development of material specification and analysis.
  • Responsible for the training and mentorship of new group members, students, and technicians.
  • Trained to work safely with a number of hazards, including concentrated acids, radiation generating devices, and high-power lasers.
  • Regularly coordinate with instrument service technicians for onsite instrument repair or maintenance.
  • Preside as C3Lab sample liaison, managing the receipt, inspection, storage, tracking, and return of customer samples.
  • Act as a Professional Buyer, responsible for procuring laboratory equipment, supplies, consumables, etc. for members of C-CDE through purchase card or Blanket Order Agreements.
  • Present work to multidisciplinary technical and non-technical staff.
  • Formally trained in leadership principles, participating in programs designed to systematically develop leadership knowledge, skills, and abilities.
