Support for Undergraduate Research Fellows is a program that is designed to help both students and faculty by funding research projects at UW-Milwaukee. The project I work on is called Living for the City. This project focused on telling the stories of Black Americans that live in the Milwaukee areas vias interviews and questionnaires. My responsibilities were as followed:

  • Analyzing qualitative interview data.
  • Indexing interviews for a digital archive and a traveling exhibit.
  • Building a digital archive for interviews and questionnaires to be stored and revisited by later participants.
  • Correcting interview transcriptions and coding interview data onto NVIVO.
  • Working alongside different staff and department members via team meetings and collaboration efforts.
