I basically have grown up around a pool and swimming my whole life. I learned how to swim at a very young age as I grew up with a pool in my backyard. At the age of six, I began swimming competitively. During competitive swim, I learned how to be a strong and fast swimmer as I built up much endurance through the years. Since I competed in swimming for many years, I felt that I had the immense strength to become a lifeguard. When I was sixteen years old, I began lifeguarding at California State Maritime Academy where I went through many different intense courses of training.
