Receive calls from Hospital staff, law enforcement, and families reporting cases and gather needed information to determine whether case falls within medical examiner jurisdiction.

Respond to death scenes throughout the region and document the scene through photographs, report of observations and sketch.

Examine deceased bodies and document any trauma, liver mortise patterns and rigor mortise present.

Assist pathologist during autopsies with photography and collecting body fluids to include blood and vitreous humor.

Establish open communication with law enforcement and medical personnel to obtain all pertinent case information.

Request pertinent medical records and police reports to assist the pathologist to determine cause and manner of death

Prepare final report on investigative findings.

Instruct a week-long training course for Field Evidence Technicians about proper documentation of crime scenes and evidence collection

Used Microsoft Word and other software tools to create documents and other communications.
