Host Trainer

Pluckers Wing Bar

  • Throughout my training experience I’ve performed multiple tasks with my team as well as alone. One of them being team building; we’ve had to come up with different types of icebreakers to involve the new employees in with our “family”. Examples are having them do things like giving us interesting facts about themselves, or having fun games to play for them. We also came up with ways to control staff retention; meaning keeping the good employees, and bringing in more. I did most of the new hire training; I was the first contact the new employee had besides the GM. They were trained on basic functions of the restaurant and how to run the computer system smoothly. In the training team we also performed file audits for the HR department making sure files were correct, and the correct order, and making sure dates match up with each other. All the while I also was a Tier 1 trainer I dealt with these employee issues one on one with the trainee, and most of the time I was able to solve the issue, and if anything escalated I resulted in contacting my GM.
  • Trained and mentored new host staff on service standards and guest engagement techniques.
  • Developed onboarding materials to streamline training processes for new hires.
