Volunteer Work for Central Coast Rescue Mission

I wanted to volunteer for a non profit organization that was helpful to my community. I helped the Outreach Coordinator with prepping meals to hand out as well as providing necessities such as hygiene kits, clothing, and information to help the homeless community in Santa Maria. My experience was both rewarding and raw as we took supplies to homeless encampments in the Santa Maria Riverbed and various other encampments around town. This work helped me with empathy, understanding, and most of all taught me a new understanding of humility and gratitude.
