Work History

ETL Developer and stored procedure development

FHN (First Tennessee Bank)
USA
10.2012 - 06.2017
  • At FHN Bank, monthly statements for marketable securities are received from multiple sources, requiring Relationship Managers (RMs) to manually compile values and update individual spreadsheets. This manual process is time-consuming and prone to errors.
  • To address this, a new application/tool is being developed to automate the tracking and performance monitoring of loans secured by collateral in the form of securities. The solution will:
  • Automatically list accounts managed by RMs
  • Extract data from files generated by various source systems and data pools
  • Match and reconcile information across datasets
  • Perform mathematical calculations using relevant fields from both sources
  • Present the consolidated results through an integrated dashboard interface
  • This tool will streamline operations, reduce manual effort, and enhance visibility into loan-to-collateral performance metrics.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Interpreted business and functional specifications to develop detailed technical design documents.
  • Collaborated with Business Analysts and Project Owners to understand high-level design (HLD) and develop low-level design (LLD) documentation.
  • Analyzed source and target systems to create accurate and complete data mapping documents.
  • Created high-level design documents upon finalizing workflows for subject areas, followed by detailed low-level documentation reviewed with architects prior to ETL development.
  • Led the design phase by guiding the team through data models and ETL workflows (HLD/LLD), ensuring clarity and consistency.
  • Facilitated Agile stand-up meetings, providing project updates on behalf of Data Analysts, ETL Developers, and QA teams to Project Managers.
  • Directed ETL development efforts, enforcing best practices and code quality standards to support high-volume data loads; conducted detailed code reviews for each process.

BI Developer, Data Modelling and development of SP’s

M&T Bank
USA
04.2011 - 10.2012
  • In the context of securities lending and borrowing, collateral refers to the assets pledged by a borrower as a guarantee to secure a securities loan. These assets may be seized by the lender if the borrower defaults. Collateral Management encompasses all activities involved in overseeing and tracking the collateral provided, ensuring it meets required standards and remains sufficient throughout the duration of the loan.
  • SmartLine
  • SmartLine is a credit facility similar to an overdraft, where a bank extends a predefined credit limit to current (checking) account holders. This arrangement allows customers to withdraw funds even when their account balance is zero, effectively borrowing up to the approved limit.
  • Unlike traditional overdrafts that may be secured by assets or property—giving the lender the right to seize collateral in case of default—SmartLine is an unsecured line of credit, meaning no collateral is required.
  • SmartLine is governed by specific eligibility rules and usage conditions:
  • Credit Limit: Offers a modest borrowing limit, capped at $500. Customers cannot exceed their assigned credit limit.
  • Eligibility: Credit card holders are not eligible for the SmartLine product.
  • Repayment Terms: If the borrowed amount is repaid within 10 days, the SmartLine account remains active. Failure to repay within this window results in the account being frozen.
  • This product is designed to provide short-term financial flexibility to qualified customers while maintaining responsible lending practices.

BI Developer

M&T Bank

  • BBFB (Business Bundle for Business) is a comprehensive service package designed to help companies save both time and money. Business owners who enroll in the bundle gain access to incremental benefits and can unlock even greater value by consolidating their business and personal banking relationships with M&T. As preferred customers, they automatically qualify for exclusive advantages across both segments of their financial engagement.
  • The BBFB project encompasses a wide array of technologies, including:
  • Database design and implementation to support robust data storage and retrieval
  • Application architecture and development tailored to business needs
  • Real-time data integration using Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) for seamless communication between systems
  • Batch-based data processing through ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) for non-real-time data movement
  • Streamlined ETL processes, improving data integration efficiency across multiple systems.
