Work History

Quality Engineering Intern (New Product)

Tesla Motors
California
08.2023 - 12.2023
  • Achieved a significant improvement of Decklid-Lamp fitment on BIW decks by executing successful trials, reducing the fitment gap by 1mm. Used Polyworks scan data and performed adjustments on the stamping machine, resulting in an increased Cpk value from 0.47 to 0.79.
  • Authored the Headlamp Manual Aiming procedure report for Master car preparation, following SAE J602 and SAE J599 guidelines, resulting in a 100% decrease in errors on the assembly line
  • Participated in full car audits from Range build to Pilot build with the FQT team, created 15+ MRTs (Manufacturing Readiness Tracker) during builds, and contributed over 400 points to audits.
  • Successfully eliminated hood hinge contact with cowl screens for over 800 units by developing and implementing rework instructions. Proactively initiated SCAR process with supplier.
  • Identified root causes of water leakage and condensation in decklid lamps by conducting water leak tests and pressure decay tests. Resolved issues through RCA, which included addressing the absence of body sealer and rectifying vent patch misalignment.

Associate Quality Engineer

Avon Seals PVT LTD
India
04.2021 - 02.2022
  • Performed RCA with quality engineering team, resolving impurity-related mechanical seal rejections and decreasing overall factory rejections by 5%.
  • Led data and failure analysis to ensure compliance with product specifications and tolerance standards for product development.
  • Applied 8D analysis for the seal production line, resulting in a significant increase of 7 units per molding jig

Process Engineering Intern

Youngshin Automotive
India
06.2018 - 07.2018
  • Continuously engaged in production and integration line, participating in diverse manufacturing processes, while conducting data acquisition procedures for vehicle steering column spare parts and assembly.
  • Investigated inspection and evaluation methodology using various test equipment to ensure PPAP and maintain GD&T standards
  • Optimized manufacturing processes, resulting in a 4-second reduction in job cycle time and increasing throughput for Hyundai steering column shafts by 16%.

Projects

Thermal Runaway of Lithium Polymer Cells, Thermal imaging, CATIA V5, BMS, Dispensing, 01/2023, 05/2023, Analyzed temperature and voltage fluctuations during different abuse tests such as mechanical abuse, chemical abuse, and electrical abuse. Monitored runaway events assessing trigger points for thermal runaway in Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries. Metal Foam in Footwear, Data Analysis, JMP, AutoCAD, Business Model, Nanofabrication Methodology, 10/2022, 11/2022, The mid-sole of hiking boots was replaced with CoCrNi medium-entropy alloy nanolattice to enhance the impact absorption capacity of the boot. Designed and fabricated the business plan to launch the product in the market with high profit margins. Wearable Biosensor for Sepsis Detection, Lean Process, Material Science, Problem-Solving, 09/2022, 12/2022, Conceptualized and designed a wearable biosensor using electrically conductive textile material to detect early-stage sepsis through sweat chemical analysis. Secured venture capital funding for product development. CFD Analysis for Aerodynamic Efficiency, ANSYS Fluent, 3D-CAD skills, MATLAB, 11/2020, 03/2021, Analyzed the aerodynamic flow beneath the chassis of a compact sedan and optimized it to channel air towards a turbine positioned at the rear of the vehicle, resulting in a 1.197 reduction in drag coefficient and a significant decrease in the rear-end wake region. SAEISS Electric Two-Wheeler Design Competition, CAE, ANSYS, Extrusion, Welding, 01/2019, 09/2019, Captained TEAM VOID, managing the battery module and electrical engineering team. Applied lean principles to manufacture the body frame and conducted RCA to resolve hub motor power train issues. Secured 9th place in All India and received the best Market-Based innovation award in the SAEINDIA Two-Wheeler Design Competition.
