The purpose of the project is to migrate Legacy environment to AWS Cloud based solution and make the system available in cloud for business/retail users. As the system is being modernized, design approach is modified into multiple Micro DBs equivalent to Data marts., Forward sync: Migrate the Legacy database consists of 2250 tables into Modernized AWS system considering the new design of Micro DB (Plan, Sponsor, Participant, System, Investment etc..). Transformations are applied in Talend ETL and DMS (Database Migration service) and forward sync’d to Micro DBs (PostgreSQL) in AWS. Modernized Micro DB: Develop business functionalities in AWS modernized environment that are performed in Legacy (creating plans, investment setup, new sponsor creation, transactions) in order to migrate entire system eventually to modernized. Reverse sync: Using the co-existing system, reverse sync the data in modernized environment to Legacy in order to maintain the system in sync with Micro DB. Talend ETL is used to apply reverse transformation logic and apply the changes in Micro DB into Legacy.
