Tech Lead Responsibilities:

• Monitoring: Use OEM 12c Cloud Control and UNIX scripting for administration and monitoring.
• Incident Management: Manage incidents through Service Now, prioritizing based on severity.
• High Availability: Ensure HA/DR landscape is configured and monitored for Dataguard standby redo/archival log transmission.
• Data Extraction: Extract database schema, tables, and objects using data pump tools.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze AWR and ADDM reports to identify and resolve performance issues.
• Security: Manage user/security administration, including role segregation and privilege management.
• Capacity Planning: Monitor resource usage and plan for future capacity needs.
• Database Optimization: Analyze SQL statements, reorganize database objects, and rebuild indexes for improved performance.
• Partitioning: Implement segment-level range partitioning for maintenance and query performance.
• Multi-Tenant Architecture: Operate and support databases in a 12c Multi-tenant Architecture.
• Exadata: Deploy, upgrade, and manage databases on Exadata Engineered Systems.
• Troubleshooting: Resolve issues related to Oracle RAC, including node evictions and reboots.
• Daily Operations: Perform production support and continuous database monitoring.
• Tool Utilization: Leverage OEM, AWR, ASH, ADDM, Expdp/Impdp, SQL Tuning Advisor, and SQL Plan Baselines.
• Security: Implement Vormetric and Oracle TDE security configurations for data encryption.
• Backup and Recovery: Set up backup schedules and recover/restore databases using RMAN/ZDLRA appliances.
• Provisioning and Cloning: Implement Oracle database provisioning and cloning techniques.

Infrastructure Engineering Responsibilities:

• Database Architecture: Lead database design, hardware/software selection, and performance optimization.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley, SAS 70 Type II, and PCI standards.
• Database Operations: Manage database installations, upgrades, patches, backup/recovery, and monitoring.
• Non-Production Environments: Oversee environment refreshes using cloning techniques.
• Application Support: Provide database performance tuning and testing support to ABAP teams.
• Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for all databases.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
• Support: Provide 24/7 support for production environments and business hours support for non-production environments

• Provided strategic level technical leadership to the database programming group. Spearheaded development and implementation of business intelligence data architecture to deliver end-to-end BI solutions.
