• I was involved in history taking, performing a physical examination, updating patients' notes in (EMR Carecloud), and providing knowledgeable health care plans
• During my tenure, I also assisted senior doctors in the treatment of patients with the following diseases;
• Coronary artery disease
• Peripheral vascular disease
• Congestive Heart failure
• Hypertensive heart diseases
• Venous insufficiency, and
• Other cardiovascular problems.
• In addition, I also gave a presentation on "Hyperlipidemia Guidelines and Injectable statin
• Moreover, I got an opportunity to observe left heart catheterization at Beaumont Hospital, Dearborn.

• As part of rotational responsibilities, I attended and participated in the Department's grand rounds, journal clubs, lectures, and other regularly scheduled conferences
• Through those rotation rounds, rounds, I acquired & exercised great insight to the extent that I was awarded several excellent certifications.

• In the course of my rotations, I got hands-on experience with neurological examination & lumber punctures
• In addition, I participated in daily attending & resident work rounds, which provided me with a broad exposure to diseases such as;
• Multiple sclerosis
• Guillain-Barre syndrome Bell's palsy, and
• Stroke, etc., and their management.

• During this rotation in the neurology department, I received much practical experience obtaining histories, performing physical examinations, and interpreting radiological investigations of neurological cases
• Further, I participated in the patient assessment, presented their findings, and began a plan of care under the supervision of senior residents & attending.

• While studying for the Usmle Step 2 exam, I tutored students studying for the Usmle Step 1 exam
• Tutoring helped me with my Usmle journey, which significantly impacted my education and professional life
• I found myself a fantastic instructor who helped me strengthen my communication skills and prepare for the step 2 exam and clinical practice.

• I served as an intern for one year at Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre
• Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre is one of the biggest tertiary care hospitals in Karachi, Pakistan
• During the internship, I rotated in the departments of;

-Internal Medicine

-Oncology

-General Surgery

-Otolaryngology and Emergency.

• This experience taught me how to deal with the in-patient as well as the outpatient departments
• Further, my responsibilities included taking history, doing a physical examination, drawing and ordering labs, writing patient notes, and all aspects of management under the direct supervision of the attending physician
• I also assisted with cases such as;

-Appendectomy

-Laparotomy

-Tracheostomy

-Cholecystectomy, etc

• I also participated in the grand round, morning case presentations, and conferences.

• During this tenure, I worked as a resident medical officer and managed cases such as;
• Diabetes ketoacidosis
• Decompensated liver disease
• Hypertensive emergencies
• Strokes
• Dengue hemorrhagic fever
• Malaria
• Tuberculosis
• Typhoid fever, &
• Covid 19, etc.
• Additionally, I was also involved in facilitating treatment plans, and ensuring consistent and accurate medical record keeping, and complying with health care regulating and safety requirements.

During my three years of residency, I actively participated in various core responsibilities:
