Mack Truck
McCungie, PA
09.2021 - 01.2022
  • I started on rough side this is the beginning of produce a truck.
  • I added 11 different parts to the rails , used impact guns that had certain torque to make sure each bolt and nuts are put on to each individuals specification.
  • I also torqued the spring suspension.
  • I had a cart that I would put the parts and nuts and bolts on.
  • I worked independently and had 9 minutes per truck to do so.
  • I loved my job it was exactly what I love and enjoy to be physically and mentally challenged.
  • I never had a complaint of missing anything .
  • Unfortunately they needed some people on the Cab line.
  • There I was trained to put on Windshield Washer fluid container to the fire wall add the heat shield , installed the beginning of the Heater hoses, an Installed Right side mirror.
  • If i had any trouble with cross threading or due to paint being to thick i would have to tap the area before installing. any parts.
  • I regret leaving before having another job but the Union at first they were paying a sub pay of 80% when short on parts that gave days laid off.
  • Then it became more days off an they stopped it.
  • You had to work 90 working days before even getting in the Union and if laid off more then two weeks . the 90 working days would start back to beginning.
  • So not a good experience but would try another Union place if needed.

  • Picked out any damaged or plates that were cut with defect while running making sure my product was at 100% .
  • If my machine was down , I say if you have time to lean you have time to clean.
  • If for some reasons machine was down . i would ask Supervisor if I had time to lock out tag out to do Preventive Maintenance.
