  • The FDA’s Office of Inspections and Investigations (OII) leads all FDA field inspection, investigation, import, emergency response and law enforcement activities to protect America’s public health and safety. There are 196 offices in 50+ states and 96 countries. I was responsible for creating, developing and executing a new recruiting, outreach and onboarding program for the Office of Inspections and Investigations. This new program consisted of recruiting events, a monthly New Employee Orientation class, the Talent Influencer Network of volunteer recruiters, a Recruitment Toolkit, websites, SharePoint pages and a monthly training session for all volunteer recruiters. Worked with hiring managers to create recruiting strategies and advertising plans to fill open positions. The Talent Influencer Network received accolades from leadership and awards for it’s accomplishments with outreach and recruiting new talent to OII.

  • Managed and executed the New Employee Orientation (NEO) class and program. This role includes all aspects of program administration (planning, development, execution and evaluation) and the supervision of program assistants. The FDA New Employee Orientation program processes every FDA new hire and is held on a bi-weekly basis with an average of 90 attendees per class. The NEO program successfully executed 24 classes with over 1700 attendees annually and received excellent survey ratings. Continuous improvement and re-design was a key component of this program based on survey results and customer comments. As a result of the NEO survey comments, I developed a new program for field employees. The Field NEO Program design was created to meet the unique needs of new field employees with a live virtual sessions and online e-modules. Timely response to customer complaints, inquiries and suggestions is a required element of the program. Supervision of program assistants includes training, coaching and performance measurement.
