After completing high school in Pahokee and relocating to South Carolina, I attended Mid Carolina High School where I successfully fulfilled my high school requirements and obtained certification as a Nurse Assistant. While in school, I displayed strong leadership skills and exceptional inventory management during my 8 month job as a paint associate at Lowe's. I am dedicated to enhancing customer service through training and organizational initiatives. Now certified as a Nurse Assistant, I am determined to advance my skills and pursue opportunities in various medical fields. Helping people has always been something I genuinely care about, and it’s what drives me to keep learning and growing in healthcare. My goal is to become a traveling nurse, and right now I’m working as a CNA while working toward my Bachelor’s in nursing. I’m someone who picks things up quickly, stays on top of deadlines, is responsible, and always tries to do my best work.
I willingly took part in an immigrant program that offers assistance and aid to individuals who have recently come to the United States. This program assists them by providing information on where to find shelter if necessary, job opportunities where they can apply, contact details for doctors, schools, and any additional support that remains within the scope of legal activities.
I am a CNA currently working at Magnolia Ridge. In this role, I help patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide any support they may require, whether it's getting a cup of ice water, assisting with a shower, helping with a brief change, or a clothing change, etc. I also take their vital signs and notify the nurse of any irregularities, no matter how minor, as it is crucial to always inform the supervising nurse since it may impact the well being of the patient. Positive energy is very important along with great attitudes when greeting patients, staff, and everyone you encounter.
