• Research Analyst on Systemic Racism at UNCC with Dr. Fernandes - Lead investigative research at UNCC under Dr. Fernandes, analyzing systemic racism in traffic stops in Charlotte using City of Charlotte Open Data Portal; Conducting in-depth statistical analysis to understand disparities in law enforcement traffic encounters due to race and ethnicity; Collaborating with stakeholders to propose evidence-based policy reforms and spearhead public education initiatives; Presenting findings to government officials to create change in policing practices.
• Policy Translator and Research Analyst with Harvard STRIPED and Dr. Austin - Advocating for championed bills H2215/S1465 in the Massachusetts State Legislature which focuses on restricting access to diet pills for individuals under 18; Collaborating with undergraduate students from Harvard and Boston University to craft persuasive op-eds and research papers to raise awareness and garnering support for the legislation; Facilitating meetings with policymakers to secure endorsements for the initiative.
• Treasurer of AK Model United Nations - Lead development workshops to hone speaking skills for team members; Chaired 6 conferences; Plan logistics and funds for conferences.
