Assist machine operator on product start up’s, during production and changeovers as needed
Correctly complete all the necessary paperwork for the compounder position: chemical usage totals, facer usage etc
Notify operator of facer splices in a timely manner and work as team in making facer splices
Properly dispose of all chemical waste at the end of the shift each day and ensure that the area is kept clean at all times and at the end of the shift
Ensure that all chemical totes are changed when empty

Understand all job responsibilities of the Operator
Work in coordination with the Operator to reduce wet density through continuous monitoring of product at the exit end of the laminator
Operate all processing equipment to ensure that all actual running conditions are within the target running conditions according to Johns Manville guidelines
Optimize the line to meet and exceed our wet Density and product efficiency
Properly Identify processing problems and make necessary corrections to minimize rejects and downtime in a timely manner
Assist Operator in Pour Table Set up and Start up
Accurately adjust laminator height to attain finished product thickness that is within product specifications
Conduct Quality Assurance Line Checks of product (including core density, board density and thickness)
Complete necessary paperwork for position including reject reports and production reports
To ensure the operators area and sides of laminator are kept clean at all times and at the end of the shift
Maintain and clean all tools and equipment
Follow directions given by your immediate supervisors
Leadman:
Total responsibility of the Dry-End Equipment
Direct Material Handlers in performing necessary tasks/duties on the Dry-End
Assure that set-ups and changeovers are performed quickly and safely
Monitor and maintain all Equipment on Dry-End
Assist Production Supervisor with training of new dry-end employees
Ensure that all paperwork, labeling, packaging, board dimensions, etc
Are up to JM standards
Be able to perform all job functions of all the positions in the production department
Work with Operator’s to line out the board in the most efficient means possible
Perform all job function on the production line
Back up the Supervisor in his absence
Supervisor:
Effectively complete and/or delegate completion of directives, and deliverables given by the Plant Superintendent or the Plant Manager
Model, support, and ensure safety of all production personnel, enforce all Johns Manville safety polices, and assure that employee conduct follows JM procedures and policies
Total responsibility of the shift
Model, support, and direct all personnel to work collaboratively, effectively, and efficiently and maintain a clean and safe working environment
Effectively communicate expectations and timelines and manage performance appropriately
Produce first quality products to meet all Johns Manville’s Quality Assurance specifications
Work effectively and collaboratively within and across departments to address and resolve practical problems pertaining to mechanical, personnel, or processing issues
Ensure that all deliverables, including paperwork and documentation are done timely and properly
To analyze processing data and efficiency reports making changes that are necessary to improve processing and efficiency levels
Model and champion, improve and maintain housekeeping of the facility
Ensure that all personnel are properly trained to perform the functions of their jobs, and to participate in training as necessary and have the proper equipment to perform their jobs
Model effective leadership and development skills
Meet operational and performance goals for the shift
