Director, RBERN
- Develop and implement strategic plans for providing technical assistance, professional development, and support services to school districts.
- Collaborate with the State Education Department to align RBERN goals with statewide bilingual education initiatives and policies.
- Lead and support program development for bilingual, dual language, and ENL programs across the region.
- Supervise RBERN staff, including specialists and coordinators, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development.
- Ensure that all bilingual and ENL programs comply with state and federal regulations, including ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) and Title III.
- Oversee program monitoring, evaluation, and reporting to ensure effective implementation of bilingual and ENL programs.
- Oversee the design and delivery of professional development programs for district leaders, principals, teachers, and support staff on bilingual education best practices.
- Foster partnerships with community organizations, parents, and other stakeholders to support ELL students and their families.
- Collaborate with district superintendents, school boards, and educational leaders to improve educational access and outcomes for ELLs.
- Lead efforts to collect, analyze, and report data on ELL student performance, program effectiveness, and compliance.
- Use data to identify trends, address challenges, and guide continuous improvement efforts in bilingual education.
- Provide reports to the State Education Department and other agencies as required, highlighting the network’s progress and impact.
- Manage the RBERN’s budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to support program goals and district needs.
