Summary
I graduated from Columbia University, New York, with a Masters Degree, and began my career as a classroom teacher in a public school. After the birth of my son, I returned to work as a Resource Room teacher in a private school, eventually becoming the Assistant Director of the Resource Room. I continued to have my own students, at the same time training new Resource Room staff, monitoring teachers' lesson plans and reports. Distributing information on new materials and strategies, supporting classroom and Resource Room staff, and scheduling meetings with staff and parents were also under my purview. Once I became a private tutor, I was able to engage students in a positive learning environment, tailoring my methods to the needs of each student. My first objective has always been to make my students feel confident in their ability to learn and establish a positive rapport with each of them, whether teaching in person or remotely. I have been to many student weddings over the years!
