Primarily worked as the Technical Lead for the Data Migration Team, supporting data conversion activities to migrate the enterprise HR platform from Oracle EBS to Oracle HCM. Also, I provided technical support and data mapping support to the DCHRMS Warehouse team.

Role: Sr. Systems Analyst

I worked as the primary contact for HR IT support and worked on integration, reporting, and data management projects. Below are some of the major project involvements:

  • Lead HR/PR vendor integration projects, activities involved in analyzing requirements documents, working with vendors on technical requirements, creating integrations, and working with the Rice IT team on automating the integration. Some of the recent projects include EMS systems, COIR Ospary, RecCenter, Rice Works, etc.
  • Lead the employee implementation of SSO to Esther. Workers with the HR office, Help Desk, and internal OIT teams on project planning and application enhancements are needed.
  • Lead the HR data migration warehouse project and created datasets for VPAA, OIR, IPEDS reporting, and faculty datasets reporting.
  • Provided data analysis, action plan, data analysis, and data updates for position restructuring for the HR team.
  • Lead the HR, PR, and Finance Report redesign as part of the Banner 9 upgrade, and migrate the Banner baseline reports to Edgar/Argos.
  • Worked on Banner Security enhancements as part of the Banner 9 upgrade. Leads Edgar's custom security process and made process improvements and enhancements as per changing security requirements.
  • Created Edgar apps and reports for faculty information data, and other HR/PR applications to fill the Banner gaps.

  • Emissions Collection and Monitoring Plan System (ECMPS). U.S. EPA, CAMD (2009-2013). Oracle database developer for the development and deployment of ECMPS quarterly release, a critical component of the information system supporting the EPA's air emissions trading programs. ECMPS facilitates the submission, management, and use of hourly emissions data, monitoring plan information, and quality assurance test data for these programs. The technical architecture for ECMPS includes an Oracle 11g database at the EPA, an MS SQL Server database for the industry submission tool, web services utilizing XML schemas, and a .NET middleware server.
  • Data and Maps Website Design and Development. U.S. EPA, CAMD (2009-2013). Database developer for the development and deployment of the Data and Maps website. The site incorporates substantial warehousing technologies to allow users real-time access to significant volumes of inventory, emissions, allowances, and compliance data.
  • Source Management System (SMS) and CAMD Business System (CBS) Support. U.S. EPA, CAMD (2009-Present). Provides database support for the SMS and CBS development teams. SMS is a web-based application that is the core system for CAMD's reengineering efforts. It contains facility inventory, unit characteristic data, program applicability information, agency assignments, industry contacts, industry representatives, and owner and operator data. SMS is written in ColdFusion and uses an Oracle relational database.
  • CAMD System Administrator (CSA). U.S. EPA, CAMD (2009-Present). Database developer for CSA, a software application used primarily by system administrators of SMS, CBS, Data and Maps, and other CAMD applications, such as ECMPS. CSA contains functionality that is too data-intensive for a web interface, or that is necessary to limit to a small group of users. CSA functions include report generation, database maintenance and synchronization, and the generation of emails to groups of relevant industry and agency personnel.

  • Created database design and technical documentation for database objects and workflow for reengineering or implementing additional modules to ECMPS, SMS, CBS, CSA, and Data & MAPS applications.
