· 2000 – Present-Over the span of twenty years I have provided clinical case management, counseling, and social work services to the following. Sacramento County Department of Health & Human Services Child Protective Services, State of California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation, New Millennium Foster Family Agency, Crittenton Behavioral Health Center- Kansas City, Missouri, Turning Point Community Programs, Placer CO Psychiatric Health Facility and Hallmark Youth Care. The populations that I served included: children and families in crisis; work with displayed people in a civil war area; incarcerated men, juvenile offenders, mental health, alcohol and other drugs, foster youth, homeless, hospice care, nursing homes, individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS.

Works in the Emergency Response Program: Investigates complaints of child abuse and/or neglect. Determines the family's need for services; Makes referrals to other CPS programs and/or community programs. Continues an ongoing investigation after the removal of a child; Initiates Juvenile Court proceedings for the protection of a child when necessary. Determines if the child can be safely returned home with an appropriate safety plan in place; Prepares reports for the Juvenile Court; psychological assessment, treatment, crisis intervention, and discharge planning of inmates, clients, patients participation in program development and program evaluation; and prepared reports for inmates/patients. Makes recommendations on admissions, transfers, and discharges. Actively participates on Interdisciplinary Treatment Teams and Institutional Classification Committees. Serves as liaison with institutional programs; including medical, educational and vocational staff, correctional counselors, and chaplains. Provides Pre-Parole Planning to Inmates/patients in the Psychiatric Services Unit (PSU) who usually parole as high control. Attends professional conferences, workshops, IEP’s and seminars. Completes quarterly reports Provides case management services to individuals living with chronic mental illness including individual and group counseling, support in areas of medication management, housing resources and referrals, crisis intervention, education, advocacy and other assistance as needed. Co-facilitated AOD groups for HIV/AIDS patients around education, advocacy, and community resources as needed.
