Permanent Supportive Housing Case Manager
Willis Dady Homeless Services
04.2022 - 09.2025
In this position I work with the homeless population and oversee 4 locations of their PSH program. This currently holds 18 clients with a capacity of 23. In this role I worked closely with each client to help them identify their barriers and find ways to help them become self-sufficient while maintaining housing. While at Willis Dady I have been able to use the skills that included but are not limited to time management not just of my own schedule of the schedule of others. I have taken part in annual training which includes trauma-informed care, mental first aid and many others that allow me to maintain the required CEU’s for this position. I was also able to acquire new skills including but not limited to learning and using new computer systems, writing and keeping up with progress notes and contact logs. I was also able to learn how to offer case management with more empathy and meeting people where they’re at. I have also learned to read and understand grants that help pay for large number of services including payroll and repairs.
During my time with Willis Dady, I also implemented a new onboarding system that the company currently uses. This system includes a new-hired program that will allow all new hires to have a person not on their team to meet with and build trust with. This is to help new-hires to have the ability to meet and learn about other people’s positions and learn who they are working with. Both of these new policies are very successful.

10.2023 - 06.2025
I was a founding member of this non-profit organization located here in Cedar Rapids. I worked very closely with Linn County Public Health, Solid Waste and other companies and organizations to start this non-profit from the ground. Here I was able to learn and see what it takes to start a non-profit from finding funding to finding donors and volunteers. I not only helped to start it, once it opened, I was head of the volunteer community. This organization is 100% volunteer run and operated so that is and was the largest part of the company. It was my responsibility to organize training classes for new volunteers and run them. I also had to create a whole program complete with new policies and regulations that met the requirements of our grants and mission.
