I’m currently a Junior at University of Oregon majoring in Psychology, minoring in DS, highly motivated to find research/volunteer/job opportunities that include developmental, social, & behavioral Psychology. Intent to attend graduate school & pursue a career as a Child/School Psychologist.
Building connections & relationships with students in a special education, Pre-K setting, including assisting in classroom activities, projects, and leisure time.
Work with school-aged children, students from K-5 in a school setting. Create a welcoming space for students to have a smooth transition from school to after school. Support & implement KinderCare Education (Champions) curriculum, and facilitate play-based learning while building positive & supportive connections with children and their families.
Assisted in searching and summarizing research articles containing topics of Autism Spectrum Disorder (lived experiences, support systems, resources, transitioning into adulthood, etc.)
Provided fun, educational and accurate service. Resolved any service issues and made sure guests walk away satisfied. Prepared and stocked food & assembled orders, and completed basic kitchen chores (dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, etc.)
Assisted clients take prescribed medication, assisted clients with mobility, assisted clients with daily tasks (showering, toileting, etc.), reported any incidents/emergencies, and overall, be a pleasant & supportive companion for the elderly that were ill, injured, or disabled.
