I have been in electric line construction building and maintenance for the past 21 years. I started as a groundman in 2003 and worked my way into an apprenticeship topping out as a journeyman in 2006. In my apprenticeship I traveled quite a bit working in large cities to rural areas, doing overhead and underground, transmission and distribution. After becoming a journeyman I spent six years doing transmission line work. I worked 60kv to 500kv during this time while assisting distribution crews as needed for operations and storm damage. I was barehand certified working off ladders, out of man basket's and from helicopters. I worked all kinds of different wood structers, steel structures and utilized various specialized equipment to maintain the system during this time. I spent time working in substations and did quite a bit of substation and transmission switching. I then went into distribution and have been working there ever since. This has included working on all types of distribution equipment like transformers, regulators, capacitors, switches both overhead, underground and pad mounted. I have been a Lineman, troubleman and for the past six years a crew Forman. While performing any of these duties throughout my career I have strived for safety for myself and for those around me. I have an excellent safety record and thoroughly understand the dangers of doing linework. I have worked on and led large projects with many line personnel and contractors to working maintenance in two man units. I am proficient in rubberglove and hotstick work and have performed these duties throughout my career. In the past 21 years I have worked in every weather condition California has to throw at you day or night. I have worked natural disasters ranging from wildfires, earthquakes, floods, wind storms, heat storms and snow storms. Keeping safety number one I have also worked to do what is best for the company I work for and the customers we serve. I understand that no two jobs are the same and we have to adapt and adjust to situations as they arise to safely complete work. I have been a mentor to many apprentices throughout my time and have enjoyed watching them develop into good safe, hard working lineman that can contribute wherever they go and have loved seeing tricks of the trade passed down as they progress. I am a hard working, self driven Lineman with a lot of experience and would like the opportunity to contribute to your company.
