Work History

Reservoir Engineer

Sandrill Division (Assigned to PPL Assets)
01.2020 - 07.2023
  • Performed material balance and decline curve analysis for Kandhkot & Miano gas fields, improving reserve estimates and enhancing production forecasting accuracy by ~5–8% for planning.
  • Executed reservoir simulation & history-matching workflows in CMG, Eclipse, and Petrel for Adhi carbonate reservoir cases, improving understanding of reservoir behavior and supporting development planning decisions.
  • Supported production optimization by analyzing choke performance, water-gas ratio trends, and tubing intake efficiency — resulting in rate stabilization and incremental production uplift on selected candidate wells.
  • Assisted in well testing & PTA including pressure buildup analysis to assess permeability, skin, boundaries, and reservoir connectivity.
  • Developed reservoir surveillance dashboards and monthly performance reports to track well health, depletion status, and decline behavior.
  • Collaborated with PPL reservoir, production, completions, and geoscience teams to align subsurface models with field operations, ensuring integrated reservoir-production solutions.

Trainee Engineer

KCA Deutag
04.2019 - 12.2019
  • Coordinated and supervised drilling operations, maintaining compliance with safety standards on a 2000 HP deep drilling rig, and operated in one of the most difficult high-pressure zones, where there were quick changes in the high pressure of water and a lost circulation zone. A new casing design was introduced using a combination of 30”, 18 5/8”, 17”, 14”, and 13 3/8” casings. Involved in helping prepare tallies for these casings, installing casing floating equipment with premium threads, and then assisting the casing crew. Pipe pick-up and lay-down machines were also used.
  • Provided real-time data analysis, optimizing drilling operations.
  • Developed wellbore trajectory plans and casing designs through coordinated efforts with senior personnel.
  • Engaged in diagnosing and fixing technical problems during drilling activities related to mud engineering and drilling downhole equipment.
  • Contributed to the documentation of drilling activities daily.

Production Intern

Oil & Gas Development Company Ltd. (OGDCL)
01.2018 - 01.2019
  • Assisted field production engineers in daily well surveillance, monitoring well rates, pressures, and choke settings for oil & gas wells in the Sanghar asset.
  • Prepared tallies for tubing strings and completion accessories for workover operations.
  • Supported Schlumberger coiled-tubing operations during nitrogen kick-off job on a low-productivity well; assisted with pre-job program checks, on-site execution support, and prepared post-job operational report.
  • Participated in Halliburton slickline intervention activities for downhole equipment retrieval and wellbore cleaning, and drafting detailed job report for production engineering review.
  • Observed and documented well testing operations, fluid sampling, surface production equipment checks, and separator performance monitoring.
  • Assisted in compiling daily production reports, downtime logs, and well performance summaries to support field-to-office communication.
  • Gained hands-on exposure to surface facilities, including separators, wellhead equipment, and artificial lift systems.
