- Develop and implement engaging physical education curriculum in order to promote a wide variety of student interest, participation, and fitness levels. Includes units such as: basketball, kickball, gymnastics, dance, creative movement, bike riding, jump rope, floor hockey, badminton, volleyball, cross country skiing, down hill skiing, snow shoeing, team handball, lifetime fitness activities, parachute games and various station activities.
- Coordinate with music teacher to create and implement dance unit, integrating Wyoming State Standards from the Physical Education and Music programs.
- Generate lesson plans, design and administer assessments, and record final grades.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance physical skills and teamwork.
- Incorporate and administer modifications to facilitate learning for students with disabilities.
- Organize school-wide sports events fostering school spirit and community involvement, including student marathons, turkey trots, Ninja Jump Rope, talent shows, and color runs.
