Started in the Automotive repair industry at age 16, 1980. Worked for a Shop in Darien Illinois. Chuck's Import Auto Service. Started as an apprentice, Finished my career with Chuck's in 1990-1991. Owner sold business. From 1991 until 2015, Worked at a shop called Automotive Enterprises. Eventually taking over as owner. Shop was located in Naperville Illinois. Some reviews of said shop are still available on line. We leased the property, and in 2015, was forced to shut down, as owner sold property to a developer , Condominiums are on that property now. Moved to Tennessee in 2018. Have been working at S&S til present. Can work on any make or model of car, preference being Japanese imports : Subaru, Honda/Acura, Toyota/Lexus, Nissan/Infinity. I am currently the only mechanic at S&S to do Subaru engine reseals. Other Subaru work besides normal things like brakes, steering, suspension, etc is diagnosing and repairing/ replacing transmission valve bodies, as that is a pretty common failure on higher mileage Subaru's.
