Wangling Huang, born in 1997 in China is currently finishing her Master of Professional Studies diploma under the tutelage of Dr. Joanne Polk at the Manhattan School of Music. She prides herself on working on and performing underrepresented women composers such as Clara Schumann, Fanny Mendelssohn, and Amy Beach. In her recent studies, she has given performances at The Manhattan School of Music's International Student Concert and done piano performance classes under the studies of Dr. Peter Vinograde. Wangling's performances have been praised as "extremely musical" “terrific performance, expressive pianist" and "musically sensitive" by her colleagues and professors.
Wangling has in the past been the recipient of many international, national, and local piano performance awards such as the China-US International Youth Music Competition, the Inaugural Horowitz International Piano Competition in China, the Yangtze River Piano - 2018 National College Piano Competition, New York International Music Festival & Concours… In addition to her wonderful solo performances- Wangling has also participated in multiple ensembles including sonata duos, and piano trios - having studied with many internationally recognized coaches such as Wolfram Koessel, cellist of the American String Quartet, and Curtis Macomber, Violinist in the Manhattan String Quartet.
