Operating a Railcar mover

Using a Railcar mover to sort cars on the tracks to prepare for unloading activities

Visually inspecting rail cars and performing air brake inspections

Connecting steam lines to rail cars and monitoring temperature

Participating in and promoting Waste Management safety program

Operate a wide variety of heavy equipment vehicles that construct landfills, open cells that are ready for trash fill, close cells, site maintenance, site closures, and/or mining

Operates heavy equipments in compliance with the company operating safety policies and procedures

Conducts routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment; maintains accurate records

Moves and positions raw materials and finished components with use of material moving equipments

Follow appropriate standard operating procedures as guideline for operating and maintaining vehicle

Performs other duties as assigned

Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the work day;

Drives sit-down and stand-up forklifts, and other industrial vehicles such as cherry-pickers and automated pallet jacks as needed.

Moves hazardous materials.

Maintains clean work area.

Pallet building and pallet picks.

Loads goods onto conveyer belts.

Stacks crates, pallets, lumber, or other material.

Ensures the safe and efficient movement of goods.

Follows safety regulations and company guidelines.

Checks that loads are centered and properly stacked.

Determines when repairs need to be made on equipment.

Rotates stock so that oldest items are shipped or sold first.

Loads and unloads product from and onto tractor trailers, rail cars, and cargo ships.
