As a Senior Aggregate Operations and Preventive Maintenance Leader with 37 years of experience in the aggregate industry, I have built my career on a foundation of operational excellence, equipment reliability, and leadership. I began in Quality Control before entering a management training program, which provided me with a strong technical and operational foundation for advancing into mining operations leadership.
Throughout my career, I have held a variety of positions, including Assistant Plant Manager, Plant Manager, and East Region Preventive Maintenance Manager with Summit Materials. My experience spans Virginia to Florida, where I supported 24 aggregate operations and developed a broad understanding of the challenges associated with managing equipment at multiple facilities.
While I have successfully served as a Plant Manager, my greatest professional passion is preventive maintenance. I am particularly interested in developing and implementing effective maintenance programs, improving equipment reliability, maximizing asset life, and reducing unplanned downtime through the strategic use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
My combination of field experience, operational leadership, and preventive maintenance expertise allows me to understand maintenance from both the equipment operator's perspective and the management level. I believe effective preventive maintenance is not simply about fixing equipment; it is about building systems, accountability, and processes that keep operations running safely, efficiently, and profitably.
