
Started at LCEC in April 1981 in the warehouse where I learned most of the approximately 10,000 items required to build a quality power system,
Worked there until December 1984.
Returned to LCEC in September of 1985 back to the warehouse and worked in that capacity until November of 1988.
In November stated in the Lineman apprentice program. Went through the apprentice and made Journeyman in May of 1993. I was held back 6 months do to medical injuries received outside of LCEC.
In September 1997 was promoted to Lead lineman and remained in that capacity until March of 2006 when I entered System Operations on a temporary basis. Was supposed to return to my lead lineman duties in June of 2006, however System Operations Manager at that time requested that I stay in Systems for remaining summer months. In July 2006 HR posted an Associate System Operators position and I was awarded the position. In January 2007 I was promoted to System Operator after passing an exam put together by then Manager Mark Boure. In April 1997 I was promoted to Sr Systems Opertor after passing the NERC Reliability Coordinator test. Remained in that position until September of 2023 when I took retirement.
