Playing sports all my life has developed several skills and my character, it has turned me into who I am today and I am better because of it. Whether it's healthy competition at work or challenging task, I embrace it and enjoy when times get tough because it only makes us better.

• Awarded both Business Student and Agriculture Student of the Semester
• Key contributor to changing the athletic culture our football program, transforming it from a losing program to one that competed in back to back state semifinal finishes. Our school had only ever made it that deep into the playoffs one time in school history before.

Volunteered regularly within my community and prioritize making time to help in our community and giving back 

• Volunteered 8 years for the Nooksack Valley Youth Basketball program. This included volunteering at camps/tryouts, referring youth games weekly, and coaching teams.
• Volunteered 5 years in Nooksack Youth Football. Assisted with multiple fundraisers by assisting with the drills and coaching. Also planned and led a successful youth football camp as a fundraiser for our high school program, with 75 attendees.
• Volunteered during the federally declared natural disaster that occurred in our community in 2021 as a result of historic flooding that displaced over 400 families. I helped fill sandbags and delivered them as families attempted to protect their homes. After the flood I helped clean houses, clear crawl spaces, removed damaged flooring and dry wall, cleaned out garbage and delivered basic needs such as water, food and supplies to families in need.

• I have a large greenhouse and have a great passion for researching growth methods, varieties and then growing food. From vegetables in the summer to fruit trees year-round, plants that grow outdoors year round, and starting seedlings to later transplant - I am always learning and experimenting with new things.
• My family raises animals including goats, pigs, chickens, and sheep.
