Daily job roles include support and collaboration with senior and executive team members in providing strategic leadership, meeting financial goals and project performance, with direct daily management of financial/administrative operations and project delivery. Assure adherence to budgets, monitoring all project earnings, collections and expenditures. Oversee the design and management of projects and help facilitate communication between teams. The Duncan & Miller internal Purchasing Division is an all-inclusive entity functioning within the shared infrastructure of our design team. This department functions via a self-sufficient network, with the integration of our new DesignTrack system. This technologically advanced system, unique to DMD, allows for all processes involved in the creation of your project to be linked together, therefore making all data less prone to error due to reproduction or re-entry. From the initial design conceptualization through to the final installation, this system is completely internal, which means a more efficient means of information transfer.
· Work under the general direction of a Project Designer or Senior Project Designer
· Provide design support and documentation throughout all design phases
· Assist in the selection of FF&E materials for design projects
· Assist in the development of FF&E specifications, budgets, documentation, and fabricating material boards as directed by senior team member
· Work with vendors to compile pricing, availability, and samples of FF&E materials
· Process quoting and recording FF&E selections
· Execute transmittal of documents, samples and general correspondence to consultants, team members and clients
· Assist in preparation of concept drawings for schematic and design development presentations
· Perform specification writing for design projects under senior supervision
· Apply creative judgment and design skills in preparing client presentations
